This pic made me realize that rap is just not gonna be the same no more. Cubase 5 from NAMM

Yup Cubase 5 from NAMM!! Thanks to sonic state for covering this. Now at first I personally dont like the new loop vst i think its kinda bla but thats just me, im more intrested in making music not live use. The new MPC style vst is looks really sick and it looks like they got a AutoTune like vst in their too which is bad for music as we know it lol. The New reverb is CRAZY its blowing my mind how technology is advancing with software music making lol.

Well well well, when i heard that Lil Wayne was doing a rock album I didn't belive it untill just now. I heard a new song of his and it is on a new level of wackness. Now I love lil Waynes music always have been but this NEW shit here...is sad ass atempt of rock music.

Why do rappers wanna be rock stars so bad? your a fucking rapper lol act like one. Also incase u havent known this rock music hasnt been around in ages, Shit Alternative music isnt really here either what makes u think rock is? its just metal, gay emo shit, alternative (if u wanna really call it that) and well....thats it. Rock left when white snake came along and all the other 80s metal ish, Bryan Adams and Bruce Springsten where the last people to make rock (and yes i do know my shit also all of this is opinion)

Funny thing is everyones gonna start saying they have liked rock all this time when they havent. They dont know much about The Pumpkins, Colective Soul, Zeplin, Sabath, Slipknot, 311, Incubus, etc etc etc

First "real" blog

Hey Whats up yall its J1mba Fr0sty (for thoese who cant pronounce it or know what it is its Jimba Frosty)


I have done 2 blogs on myspace before but didn't think I'd become a bloger since theirs 43048530468304683045 fucking people blogging lol. So lets try it out and see how it goes.

To the people who dont know I'm a Rap/R&B/Pop producer who can also make metal, alternitive, funk, house, trance etc music as well. Started making beats in 2003 and didnt start learning and taking it seriously since about 2005 or so. Ive been playing guitar since I can remember and play guitar, bass, drums, most percussion instruments, piano, do a lil bit of synth programing and sound designing.

Used to use hardware but mostly been software based beat making. Ive done work with quite a few people and recently did work with this company called RIM (Research In Motioin). If you dont know who they are they make blackberrys and what I did was the background music to the lil promo vid that will be in all blackberrys and presintations that they (the company) do. Also I'm working with a great raper called City Haze from Brooklyn (if im wrong shoot me) we did a track called Ms Unknown and if you google that you get lots of hits ;), we also did a few other tracks that are good and will keep on working. I will be also making ring tones for this company that actualy just got a deal going world wide and I'll keep you up dated on that as well.

So this blog is more of an intro to J1mba Fr0sty of So Fresh Productions. I'll be covering my "music life" some of my personal life, kool things I find on the net and what not so enjoy!
