Sometimes I (we) forget that we need to keep on practicing our craft or anything that we love to do. Their is always something to learn and something to "sharpen" up on. So as I sit in the studio just learning new songs that i like and going over some "drills" I think to myself,

"How good could I have been at my instruments if i would have just took the time and effort to practice and learn them more? "

I know for a FACT that if I took more time for this I could be making WAY better music. Thats what I always want from myself. Is to make songs that impress me the way Timbaland, Dre, Neptunes, Hi Tek, etc but maybe thats to tall of an order.

I ALWAYS want to be better and im never happy with the "state" im at musically. I mean, I think/know im good, but i wanna be "HOLLY SHIT DID U HEAR JayOnes BEAT!!! THATS INSANE!!!! HOW DOSE HE DO THAT!!!!!" type of great.........I hope that I never lose that ambition, and not just in music. In life. To be a better person, friend, lover, son, co worker, and with love, ambition, intelligence, kindness, etc.

So I hope you all read this and feel the drive to kick it up a notch in whatever you do. always try to be the best but always have fun doing it. Thats clearly #1.
